Applicability[edit]
This template needs to make clear when it is appropriate to use. Anonymously uploaded images may be acceptable for non-controversial original files. It is quite normal to accept freely licensed images from Flickr and there is no reason to challenge the identities of the people who claim to have taken a photo. If the template is only used because an image source is questioned, then the rubric in the template should make that clear.
It would be helpful if the template linked to associated policy or current consensus guidelines. Fæ (talk) 12:48, 10 November 2010 (UTC)
