Usage[edit]
Call the template with: {{subst:OnProd|PageName}} where PageName is the name of the page nominated for deletion. Substitution is essential. Since the category page takes its name from the date of nomination, the template should be used immediately upon nomination, on the same day. Otherwise, the editor must manually edit the resulting text to match the name of the category page to the date of nomination.
The purpose is similar to {{On AFD}} but for proposed deletion nominations rather than articles for deletion discussions. It may be used, for example, on a project's discussion page to easily insert the necessary information to update the "proposed deletions" section. The transcluded text will appear thus:
PageName was nominated for deletion on 2024-04-28.
