year* The year of the season; if blank, defaults to current year 1964
image An image for the season. Follow Wikipedia guidelines. [[File:Example.png|200px]]

number_of_teams Total number of teams competing 70

regular_season The dates of the first and last games of the regular season August 30 – December 1
playoffs The dates of the first and last playoff games December 2 – December 12
