Varaha[edit]
... that the monolithic colossal sculpture in sandstone in Khajuraho of Varaha (pictured), an avatar of Vishnu, is 2.6 metres (8 ft 6 in) long and 1.7 metres (5 ft 7 in) high?

5x expansion valid. QPQ is remaining.Inline citation mentioned about the current hook. However, can we not have a nice hook about "Varaha" than varaha "of Khajuraho"? Article isnt about varaha of Khajuraho. Hook might not satisfy reader's quest if one wants to read about varaha of Khajuraho. - ALT1 ... that a boar (pictured) is described – in the Hindu scriptures – to have rescued the earth, kidnapped and hid in the primordial waters?

- (stalker). If the "Varaha saved earth" hook is promoted, there are various images in Category:Varaha on Commons showing that. I personally like File:Brooklyn Museum - Varaha Rescuing the Earth page from an illustrated Dasavatara series.jpg. - ALT1 should not have Vishnu in it to retain hookiness. IMO, the img should be Varaha as a boar for ALT1. ALT2 can use the second img if needed. --Redtigerxyz Talk 18:31, 9 January 2013 (UTC)
