Queen Elizabeth cake[edit]

5x expanded by Northamerica1000 (talk). Self-nominated at 13:42, 6 February 2016 (UTC).

  • Review New and long enough. Timely nominated. Expanded from a redirect. Every paragraph is cited. No copyright violations or close paraphrasing. QPQ confirmed (not yet promoted, but not required). Both hooks are supported by in line citations. They could be combined into one hook? 7&6=thirteen () 12:20, 8 February 2016 (UTC)
  • I just thought there was too much repetition in the original hook (Queen Elizabeth ... Elizabeth ... cake ... cake). To combine them would come up with something unflattering:
  • ALT2: ... that the Queen Elizabeth cake, named after Elizabeth II, is low in fat compared to other cakes? Yoninah (talk) 13:29, 8 February 2016 (UTC)
*ALT3: ... that the eponymously-named Queen Elizabeth cake, popular in Canada, is low in fat compared to other cakes?
Just a rewording of the other hooks. What do you think? 7&6=thirteen () 17:05, 8 February 2016 (UTC)
I think there are two Queen Elizabeths, so this piped link doesn't work. I also think that the page creator has been absent from this whole discussion. Pinging @Northamerica1000: for input on the alt hooks. Yoninah (talk) 19:28, 8 February 2016 (UTC)
  • I prefer the initial hook. Alt1 doesn't mention who the cake is named after, which I like in the hook because it's a famous person. Alt2 is a bit choppy imo. North America1000 23:13, 8 February 2016 (UTC)
  • Comment – FWIW, IMHO, I recommend we go with the nominator's preference. 7&6=thirteen () 23:59, 8 February 2016 (UTC)
