Ina Kaplan

Created by Lee Vilenski (talk). Self-nominated at 16:03, 3 July 2019 (UTC).

  • Article meets DYK requirements, QPQ done, no close paraphrasing found. There's one unsourced statement (about her professionally playing for a team). All three hooks are interesting (I personally prefer either of the hooks about her being pregnant), but it seems there's a malformed reference in the article right now. • I've fixed the sourcing, and added the source for her team - it's all mentioned in a very long interview with her. Hope that's enough info. Best Wishes, Lee Vilenski (talkcontribs) 06:17, 5 July 2019 (UTC)
Thanks. However, the phrasing for the sentence "Despite playing in the 1. Bundesliga, Kaplan was pregnant in 2014, and continued to play, and is still playing in the league in 2019." is a bit weird. Can this be fixed? Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 11:55, 5 July 2019 (UTC)
I agree. I've done a bit of cleanup on that phrasing. Hope that is suitable. Best Wishes, Lee Vilenski (talkcontribs) 13:56, 5 July 2019 (UTC)
I meant the phrasing was a bit off. Wouldn't wording something like "Kaplan competed in so-and-so while pregnant"? or text to that effect work better? Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 00:30, 6 July 2019 (UTC)
Oh, I see. Yes, that makes much more sense. I've updated the article. Best Wishes, Lee Vilenski (talkcontribs) 08:20, 6 July 2019 (UTC)
Thanks, this should be good to go now. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 09:59, 6 July 2019 (UTC)
  • Hi, I came by to promote ALT1, but I don't see the hook fact mentioned in the article. Yoninah (talk) 23:00, 1 August 2019 (UTC)
  • Ah, I asked for a copyedit, so that probably changed it - I have readded the fact. Best Wishes, Lee Vilenski (talkcontribs) 01:36, 2 August 2019 (UTC)
  • @Lee Vilenski: thank you, but where in the 3 sources, which appear to be scores charts, does it say she was six months pregnant? Also, I deleted the empty section "2015 onwards" because it was empty and this is going up on the main page, but earlier in the article you mention a 2017 event. Could you write a sentence for this "2015 onwards" section? Thanks, Yoninah (talk) 09:45, 2 August 2019 (UTC)
- Yoninah - I have updated this. I will try and find some info on her career since 2014, but the source issue has been rectified. Best Wishes, Lee Vilenski (talkcontribs) 14:12, 2 August 2019 (UTC)
  • Thank you. ALT1 foreign-language hook ref AGF (though I can confirm it with Google Translate) and cited inline. Restoring tick per Narutolovehinata5's review. Yoninah (talk) 15:28, 2 August 2019 (UTC)
