Gary Moore

  • ... that Gary Moore bought Peter Green's Gibson Les Paul for around £100? Source: "He said, ‘Do you want to buy it?’" Gary told Peter that he didn’t think he could afford it, but Peter remained insistent that he wanted Gary to be Greeny’s new owner. .... "I think I ended up giving him £100 or £110" ([1])

  • Comment: It's probably a bit early to queue up, but I think it would be nice if this could run on 6 February, the tenth anniversary of Gary Moore's death. In any case, a tribute to two great bluesmen.

Improved to Good Article status by SilverBullitt (talk). Nominated by Ritchie333 (talk) at 18:34, 31 August 2020 (UTC).

  • Promoted to GA status on Aug 31. Long enough. Well written with inline citations. Spot check does not reveal evidence of copyvio or unduly close paraphrasing. The hook is short enough, interesting, supported by inline citation, and neutral. QPQ requirement fulfilled. Cbl62 (talk) 05:29, 1 September 2020 (UTC)
