Comoros blue pigeon[edit]

  • ... that the Comoros blue pigeon is endemic to Comoros and coralline Seychelles? Source: Safford, Roger; Hawkins, Frank (2013). The Birds of Africa: Volume VIII: The Malagasy Region: Madagascar, Seychelles, Comoros, Mascarenes. A&C Black. p. 509. ISBN 9780713665321.

Solid expansion, on few but good sources, subscription source accepted AGF, no copyvio obvious. - Do we know more about the life of these birds? The required length of the article is more achieved by explaining the rules of rating, which is not specific to them. - The hook is acceptable, but not exciting. Perhaps link the places? - Please remove the stub categories. - I removed the clutter about ALT1, - please do that next time if you have only one. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 10:08, 20 September 2017 (UTC)
Gerda Arendt Removed the stub category. Also, would remove the unused ALT1 from the next time! How about:
ALT1 "... that the Comoros blue pigeon is endemic to Comoros and coralline Seychelles, and is reportedly extinct in some areas?" Adityavagarwal (talk) 14:14, 20 September 2017 (UTC)
both, but I prefer the original. Rule of thumb: only one "and" in a hook ;) --Gerda Arendt (talk) 19:14, 20 September 2017 (UTC)
Striking ALT1 in that case. Thanks a lot, learning a lot from you! :D Adityavagarwal (talk) 01:53, 21 September 2017 (UTC)
@Gerda Arendt and Adityavagarwal: The hook is uninteresting, but I have added an extra paragraph to the article which opens up the possibility of a more interesting hook. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 08:33, 2 October 2017 (UTC)
ALT2 - ... that the Comoros blue pigeon has a habit of perching in full sun and raising one wing to expose it to the sun?
@Cwmhiraeth: How about this? Adityavagarwal (talk) 08:45, 2 October 2017 (UTC)
Looks OK to me, we'll see if Gerda approves. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 09:03, 2 October 2017 (UTC)
Thanks a lot, Cwmhiraeth! Adityavagarwal (talk) 09:09, 2 October 2017 (UTC)
sure --Gerda Arendt (talk) 09:12, 2 October 2017 (UTC)
