Birthplace/Hometown[edit]

I have reverted birthplace to Traverse City and added a reference to the NHL player stats/biography page which lists TC. Since the official NHL site says "Birthplace: Traverse City...", I went with that... However there are a number of other sources of (to me) unknown reliability, for instance here and here, that indicate Redmond's birthplace was in fact Houston, TX. That a person was born one place but considers his or her hometown to be where they spent the bulk of their childhood is certainly not an uncommon situation...

Is a player's hometown something that can/should be listed alongside birthplace in the infobox? --Dfred (talk) 22:08, 8 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
