• La Société Nationale des Pétroles d'Aquitaine a été la première en France à utiliser MARK IV, et je vais vous exposer les expériences que nous avons eues avec ce langage.
  Nous avons installé MARK IV il y a quinze mois et après deux ou trois mois de tests en profondeur pour appréhender les possibilités et l'adaptation du package à nos besoins, nous avons commencé l'exploitation opérationnelle. Nous avons d'abord monté une application complète, à l'aide de ce package, en vue de la gestion d'un réseau de collecte de gaz bruts reliant les puits de production de Lacq à l'usine de traitement. Il s'agissait de collationner un certain nombre d'informations sur chacun des tronçons du réseau de collecte. Nous avons pour cela, tant pour la mise à jour que pour leur exploitation et la sortie des résultats, tout programmé en MARK IV.
  Le programme réunissait trois fichiers à la fois au maximum avec des enregistrements séquentiels de longueur variable, c'est-à-dire segmentés. Nous n'avons eu aucun problème technique avec cette application et la mise en œuvre a été aisée comme prévu.
