"Lifestyle" Section[edit]

Hi everyone. Why is there no "lifestyle" section (as in the case of Moa Kikuchi) that mention Mizuno's favorite bands/artists (e.g. Karen Girl's), as well as metal bands she claimed to like (e.g. Cannibal Corpse), either for herself or along with her fellow Babymetal members (i.e. Metallica, Iron Maiden)? Because you have not added it yet (with an appropriate source of course). I hope you're sensing a pattern here.Winston Spencer (talk) 13:16, 13 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The personal life section is random meaningless trivia that would go into a teen pop zine article+, first time i saw a wiki on someone that considers a particular food or fondness for looking at the stars at night worthwhile mentions. Czarnibog (talk) 00:01, 23 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

It's a Japanese celebrity thing, most websites for Japanese celebrities will have their favorite food, music, movie, past time mentioned. 86.41.149.167 (talk) 21:13, 22 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

That doesn't mean it's right for Wikipedia. The tomato thing, if I had to guess, might actually be notably discussed in enough reliable sources to be relevant; the star thing may be less so--I've seen random basic likes of celebrities show up even in the personal life section of a GA, but it really needs to be checked about whether it's something that's discussed to such an extent that talking about it in-article is giving it its due weight. I don't think "she said this in one Sakura Gakuin diary entry" is on its own enough (not to mention that's technically a primary source). If it featured regularly, like, say, I remember other Sakura Gakuin member, Megumi Okada frequently discussed her fondness for history, it might be a different story. - Purplewowies (talk) 05:59, 8 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Agreed. It's fan-interest trivia, but not essential to the general reader's understanding of the subject.
