If you had added citations properly, I wouldn't have had an issue with the material you added. I'm a big USAF and Youngstown buff. I want to see the expansion of that article as much as the next guy, but it must be done properly. That means it must be cited. Air Force history of Youngstown Airport

After being informed by Daysleeper that the citations that I provided for this article do not meet Wikipedia standards, after being urged by Daysleeper to read certain guidelines in this regard before doing anything else, I chose to remove the contribution and end my participation in Wikipedia. I am removing all of my USAF history articles.

Editing or cleaning up an article is one thing, but issuing instructions is not acceptible to me.

Here is what Daysleeper wrote to another Youngstown contributor: "Honestly, this is an excyclopedia, with format and policies governing it's appearance. Your logo doesn't conform to the standard layout for airline listings. I take Wikipedia (and Youngstown) very seriously. Who on Wikipedia cares if Youngstown has one airline? No one. People in Youngstown care, for sure, but Wikipedia is not the airport's marketing tool. The logo will continue to be removed according to precedent established in other airport articles."

This officious person can have the sandbox all to himself.

For whatever reason a person named Ken Gallagher restored the article (the citations that troubled Daysleeper are unchanged). I removed it again. Kindly respect my wishes and do not restore it again. Boxtop1 (talk) 14:15, 26 August 2008 (UTC)

Runways

At the moment, I do not have the time or the knowledge to edit this, but on Google maps, there is a picture with 3 runways, with the new (very small) one paralleling the large one. TravelCRAZED (talk) 16:46, 17 June 2009 (UTC)

It's not entirely new. It was put in about 10 years ago. It is an unmarked asphalt strip intended solely for the use of the attached air reserve station's C-130's to practice tactical short landings and cargo drops.
