It's a bad idea and the only ones who would gain from it are the POV-warriors who are out on a rampage to create as much negative PR about Orthodox Judaism as they can. If anything, the story about the sex offender allegations should be shrunk down to a size that does not make it appear that the entire yeshiva's claim to fame is because one teacher and its principal were accused of wrong-doing. Suicides, rapes, prostitution, harrasments and murders happen with students on almost all secular college campuses over time, but that is not what makes them notable educational institutions. I would agree. What's silly is that this school does not even belong on Wikipedia, but since some publications wrote about the Kolko stuff, it's now "notable" and can't be deleted. Enigmamsg 15:04, 24 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
The school is definitely older than this. I started there in 1972, back when they were still located in the old building at 150 Ocean Parkway and the adjoining house behind on East 5th St, and it had been open for quite some time by then. I have no idea where they get the date 1976 from; we moved to the (still-under-construction) new building in late 1975-early 1976, more or less, so perhaps that's when they consider the "founding" to have been.
