This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because it details one of the most fundamental charity organizations in the state of Israel, much like the American Red Cross or Hadassah Women's Organization. The history of the organization gives background into a little known Israeli problem - poverty. People have a misconception that Israel is an entirely wealthy state, and this article shows otherwise.
