Hi, when I was doing research for this article, I came across the fact that Rabbi Mendelson was of "Beis Meron" (=the house of Meron). Does Meron = Meron (moshav) in Israel? I only left this fact out of the article because I know not what it means - if anyone does, please write here or edit it in. Thanks. Lostvelt (talk) 13:32, 3 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I am a grandson of Rabbi Mendelson, z'l. The reference to "Meron" is actually Morein. This was the family's original name. My grandfather changed it to Mendelson as he was Mendel's son. There were reasons for this change which I can advise about in further contact. I have put together a booklet detailing my grandfather's years in Latvia (Russia) , Leeds, Gateshead and Glasgow based on the recollections of my late uncle, Harry Morein, who passed away in 1999. He was the oldest son of my grandfather and retained the original family name. For further information, please contact me....June 7/09
