Translating the Japanese YU-NO page[edit]

The Japanese article currently goes into way too much depth (practically a walkthrough!) and also presents things in a confusing order to someone unfamiliar with the game, so I'm trying to just bring over the most important parts in each section and clarify/trim things as needed. There is definitely plenty of useful and interesting info about this game there, which is pretty significant in Japan and mostly unheard of in the West (An english translation patch was just finished this year, probably should add that somewhere...) I would like to flesh out the character section some more, but it might be beyond my poor language skills. I also worked in the original paragraph pulled from the ELF Corporation YU-NO section, mainly to mention the composer Ryu Umemoto. ソナタ (talk) 06:34, 17 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Sources for direct influence?[edit]

I have seen claims [5][6] of the existence of interviews and such wherein multiple prominent visual novel authors reveal being influenced by YU-NO. I haven't been able to find these. If they do exist, I believe they'd be a crucial addition in confirming the game's influence.--LaukkuTheGreit (Talk•Contribs) 06:35, 18 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I've found the following Japanese source from the Japanese Wikipedia page:

"名作「YU-NO」リメイク版をサターン版と比較し徹底レビュー！". ITmedia (in Japanese). April 16, 2017. Retrieved 17 May 2019.
