x265 Copyrights and Trademarks[edit]

x265 is copyrighted software, and the x265 brand is trademarked. The owners of the x265 software will pursue copyright and trademark violations, to protect the integrity of the software and the brand. It is not acceptable for anyone to set up a business or website that trades on the x265 name without a license to do so. Linking to infringing sites is a violation of Wikipedia rules. See Wikipedia:EL#Restrictions_on_linking Tvaughan1 (talk) 17:43, 1 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

x265 trademark owner is "VideoLAN, Association, 18 rue Charcot, 75013 Paris" registered at 2012-05-21. Not "MulticoreWare, Inc.", there trademark registration is pending. - see tmdn.org — Preceding unsigned comment added by Licensebot (talkcontribs) 18:20, 1 February 2014‎ (UTC)[reply]

VideoLan reserved the x265 trademark in the EU, and they are helping us to defend it. But you make my point for me; you are using a trademarked term, and you are copying copyrighted materials without authorization. You are also spamming this wikipedia article in a blatant attempt to improve your web ranking and traffic. Tvaughan1 (talk) 18:33, 1 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
