I added some information about how William was given his name. He actually was not "informally named" by museum visitors; there was an article with the name in 1931 and it stuck. Photo in Met CC0 release[edit]

FYI to anyone interested in this article, there is a terrific photo of William in the Met's recent dump of CC0 images. I haven't uploaded yet because I'm not yet sure of the protocol, but will update the article once I figure that out. —Luis (talk) 21:02, 10 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
