Otago Daily Times article[edit]

The Otago Daily Times lifestyle section has published an article about William Larnach, and particularly his crypt in the Northern Cemetery, here. it also includes some information about the various break-ins and the unsuccessful trial of Peter Entwisle for possession of Larnach's skull. I hope to mine it for information at some stage, but anyone is more than welcome to beat me to it. Blarneytherinosaur gabby? 06:50, 4 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Return to politics?[edit]

If Larnach in 1882 "returned to politics", he must have left it. When was this?Royalcourtier (talk) 23:06, 13 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Liberal[edit]

Larnach was politically a Liberal, which was in no way strange for a businessman. The claim that "He affiliated himself with the Liberal Party, which was a somewhat surprising decision, given his associations with the business elite that the Liberals opposed" is unfounded and unsourced. The Liberals were not opposed to the business elite, but were largely made up of such men.Royalcourtier (talk) 23:15, 13 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
