Rescue or Removal[edit]

As per precedent in many animal rights articles, the words "liberate" or "rescue" are not used in these circumstances, nor is the word "stolen" (which would be equally appropriate from the perspective of those that owned the animals). Instead "removed" is used to describe the act without prejudice. Therefore i am reverting. Rockpocket 00:27, 4 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

How can you use the word "removal" to describe the act of opening cages or cutting holes in fences? Nothing is being removed, this is why animal liberationists who do only this do not face theft related charges. No one says that the allies removed Jews from concentration camps because the people in those camps had free will and didn't want to be there once they were liberated. The same goes for animals who are locked in labs as the subjects of science experiments or product testing. Dumpster 11:54, 26 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
