About the exit list[edit]

Undid revision 299237040 by 117Avenue (talk)

I originally designed the new exit diagram for this article to show all possible directions and clearly point out alternative routes if available but I also kept it within a scale where it is not too complex or hard to read by other people. 117Avenue's revisions clearly show his skill in creating these exit lists however the new list is very hard to read for commoners visiting the article for directions possibly. Feel free to make any other revisions but I would suggest keeping the diagram part the way it is.

New revision as of 03:02, 30 June 2009 {UTC} looks much better now and alhough complex to a scale is easier on the eyes and in fact shows more alternative routes than my exit list. Great job. However the term "At-grade diamond interchange" doesn't really make sense so I changed that. Deltanalliance (talk) 04:35, 30 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I got the name "At-grade diamond interchange" from Whitemud Drive before the exit diagram, and have used it on other road articles, thinking that this is the correct name. How do we know "split intersection" is a correct term for this intersection type? 117Avenue (talk) 01:36, 2 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Well, it makes more sense because the expressway is split into two one way sections to intersect at another road (whereas an overpass or underpass may be built in-between). The term "at-grade diamond interchange" sounds like taking a diamond interchange and removing the overpass to create a more at-grade jughandle intersection; after all, interchanges, as they say, are meant to be grade separated in at least some ways. I'm only trying to make the article easier to read.
