Green shops[edit]

• Pedantic I admit but helpful is info is in fact incorrect: does anyone actually call them "the green shops"? Just wondering how accurate that is given that I lived there for eighteen years and can't recall ever hearing the phrase once. Input from others in the know would be handy. --MercuryFree 13:31, 11 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It's not referenced, so be bold and fix it.-gadfium 18:01, 11 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I've never heard of it either, and I live nearby. Sounds like it was written be someone local (and probably young) who did exactly that, but I don't think it is common usage - or ever would be. Karora 22:15, 12 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
And it seems even more dodgy after I drove past those shops today and noticed that thay have all been painted blue... Karora 08:27, 14 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I just checked with someone who used to be a tenant in the buildings, they used to be green a fair few years ago, but as Karora says, they are now blue. I don't think they were ever specifically known as "the green shops", so will leave article with reference removed :-) --Leigh (talk) 01:22, 21 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I wonder at the value of having the bus routing information in there. I don't think that Wikipedia is a resource for timetabling. The external link is good, but it would really be better to more simply say that there are three bus routes servicing whitby, one via Papakowhai, one (school days only) to Paremata station, and a third via Waitangirua. If nobody violently disagrees I'll simplify it to something along those lines in a few days. Karora 22:15, 12 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
