I added the section on quarrying. I observed yesterday that there is a new quarry- probably for sand and gravel. The notices say it is operated by Hanson. It is an extension of their quarry close to the Grendon to Earls Barton road. This new quarry is between the Grendon to Cogenhoe road and the River Nene. I can find no reference for it on the net. Does anybody have a print reference for it ? It appears to have been started since 2018 as I found an account of a walk along the Nene Way which mentions the Earl's Barton quarry but does not mention this one.Spinney Hill (talk) 12:30, 21 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
