Fine Arts Department[edit]

I think that it's really important to include the Visual Art teachers that have been a part of West's Fine Arts department. They are not even listed, and make just as much contribution to the department as any of the other instructors. That being said, I'm going to make an edit to update and include them. Band section[edit]

Is it really necessary to include details about every band season? Maybe we can reduce it to a simple summary of any notable performances? I don't see what the point of it is. either way (talk) 01:21, 12 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I am working on adding the other clubs and extracurricular activities to this article. Once I do this, the Band wont be the only thing with that many details. OverSeer (talk) 04:05, 12 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
On second thought, this could probably be condensed. I wanted to give the history of the organization, because it is not really given anywhere else on the web. The WJHS website was lacking a lot of details about all the shows. Maybe this could be a subpage of the school's article? like West Johnston High School/Marching band OverSeer (talk) 04:13, 12 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
No, we are not a webspace. "It's not anywhere else on the web" is not a good reason to put it on Wikipedia. If you think it belongs somewhere on the web, there are plenty of free webhosts like Geocities. either way (talk) 04:16, 12 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, I will work to condense this. OverSeer (talk) 04:20, 12 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This page looks like one big advertisement for the WJHS band program. This is setting a bad precedent. Also, no need to mention the directors' names other than ego. Band director's change positions frequently. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.52.145.138 (talk) 06:36, 29 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
