Conversion into modern units[edit]
The article explains each unit in relation to each other but how do they compare to modern units? ie how long was a 13th century Welsh mile?

Apparently a grenn of honey was enough to require 2 men with a pole to carry, but I'm not sure if that's just sufficient or definition. — LlywelynII 00:23, 2 February 2013 (UTC)
Width v Length of Barleycorn[edit]
No source that I can find uses the WIDTH of a barleycorn to define the inch; note '1' is in error. The earliest available worthwhile data is from Encyclopedia Britannica 1824 Supplement on Brewing giving a length to a grain of barley of approx 0.345 inch and a width of approx 0.145 inch. As a separate issue, I have concerns about the weight and how 7000 barley grains make a Pound-weight. Nojoking (talk) 10:16, 24 May 2022 (UTC)
