Clean up tag[edit]

Just noticed this article. It's in pretty bad shape. I don't know much about the man, so I can not vouch for the accuracy of the content, but I will at least try to wikify the article.--WilliamThweatt 14:46, 24 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Well, in a fit of boredom I researched the man and rewrote the entire article so I removed the clean up tag. I replaced it with the wikify tag because it needs categories and probably could use a little more wikilinking and copyediting. Some in-line citations would be great as well.

Red link[edit]

Please don't remove the red link to Madman's War. I've become interested in this revolt and its implications and plan to write the article in the coming days.--WilliamThweatt 16:13, 24 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Nevermind, I just created a stub for the article.--WilliamThweatt 02:40, 26 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thank You[edit]

I just recently signed up with Wikipedia. I'm trying to learn the formatting. Thank you for your help in formatting. Maybe you will be more resourceful in your search for documents about the Madman's War. I've tried everywhere I could think of, even the French Cultural Center. I don't know how to access their military records from that time period. Savina's book about the Hmongs has a brief 2 pages about the war, but he indicates that he wrote another Official Report tot he French Commission. I don't know how to access that Official Report either. --Hmoobrojhmoobntshav 17:09, 24 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for starting the article. I thought I was familiar with Hmong history in Southeast Asia, but I wasn't familiar with this man. As for the Madman's War article, oftentimes just starting the page will attract other editors with more access to more resources (similar to the way your starting this page attracted me to it). As for formatting, here's a page that might help: Help:Editing and you can always ask anybody here; most contributors are more than willing to answer a "newbie's" questions and help out in any way they can. Welcome to the Wiki community, I hope you like it here and decide to stay, I look forward to your valuable contributions.--WilliamThweatt 18:01, 24 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

POV[edit]

This article could have a more neutral point of view, it's currently slanted in favor not only of it's subject, but the idea that it's subject (and related persons) actually had mystical powers. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.159.179.129 (talk) 19:14, 5 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Did he receive the script by revelation?[edit]

The article says "He was also instructed on a Hmong writing system". Was this trying to say he was instructed in the script by revelation, or that he instructing others in the use of the script? Pete unseth (talk) 23:48, 17 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
