Did the 'Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea' Novel Predict Transparent Aluminium (Aluminium Oxynitride)?[edit]

In the novel adaptation of Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea, published in 1961, it is mentioned that the windows of the Seaview submarine are made of a transparent metal. This predates the reference to transparent aluminium in Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home (1986). Eligius (talk) 05:54, 19 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
