References for "Port of Volusia"[edit]

Please cite any sources confirming the existence of a "Port of Volusia", and its specific location at the end of Juno Trail. At that location is a group of residential condominiums and there is no indication of formal Port operations. The landing at the Volusia settlement indeed would have served as a port and trading post in centuries past, but the article implies there is an actual Port of Volusia operating today. I cannot find anything to support this and do not believe it to be accurate.--TampAGS (talk) 16:20, 29 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have removed the Port of Volusia as I also can not find any references to it as place name. It seems that this reference comes from the Volusia County web site. MrX 20:27, 17 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Area[edit]

"The area of the town is 4.4 miles around the town limits."
Is this trying to say the area within the town limits is 4.4 mi2, or that the combined length ("circumference") of the boundaries is 4.4 miles. resulting in a probable area of approx. 1.2 mi2?

Since Volusia is an unincorporated community, it would stand to reason that there are no "town limits" as such. It seems like this reference should be removed unless it can be properly cited. MrX 20:24, 17 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
