Misnomer[edit]

This article is a misnomer for the visual cycle. There is no academic literature for "bleach and recycle" in any capacity. Visual cycle is currently part of Visual phototransduction, but is in discussion to be split back to its own article, in which case this article will also be handled accordingly.
