Dedication[edit]

The "Maria Elisabeth" here matches what I find on the Mozart forum, but when I cross-checked the list of Electresses of Palatine, I find Countess_Palatine_Elisabeth_Auguste_of_Sulzbach (with the "Maria" dropped). Is this the right electress? Was "Maria" considered an 'extra name' as is often the case with "Franz" or "Johann"? I just want make sure its the right person before I add a link to her.DavidRF (talk) 16:45, 17 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I think that's the right Electress. The German article, de:Elisabeth Auguste von Pfalz-Sulzbach, mentions 'Marie', but not in bold (don't know why). Authority control records also mention 'Marie' and 'Maria'. Apparently, she was an avid keyboard amateur (see the lead image in her article). -- Michael Bednarek (talk) 13:47, 13 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
