Complete?[edit]

Is there any more information needed to make this a good article? I think compared to other college pages, this is as complete as it can get. Still need some good references though. Shravan.Iyer (talk) 09:09, 15 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • As a basic rule: numbers (stats) need references like no of seats.
  • <ref> tag goes after the period.
  • "The Campus is well connected to all parts of Mumbai through the train and bus services.", "Within 5 minutes' walking distance from Nerul Rly. Station, BEST / NMMT Bus Stops..." and "Location" reads like a promotional statement taken from the college brochure. Remove such statements. Replace with plain locations like "Hostel is located on (say) M G Road, Wadala". I doubt the neutrality of the language. "The students too take up various causes to enhance the lives of the surrounding community" is a view. "VITians joined hands with the Indian Development Foundation (Formerly the Indian Leprosy Foundation) to spread awareness of Tuberculosis to the masses" is a fact, which stands on its own
  • "The objective of the Friday Paath-shala is to bring about a break from the relentless academic schedule as also to give students a platform to express their creative selves." promotional statement. "According to __________ (source), The objective...." will be much neutral
  • A History section about how and who established it etc.
  • Anything about Notable Alumni (if any)

Did most of the things above: Removed flowery language, removed promotional statements as I couldn't find references for them, added history section, added alumni section that can be expanded in the future, added more images, added and reformatted references.
Only thing left is to get a reference for academic results. Cannot add that section till some reliable numbers can be found.Shravan.Iyer (talk) 15:34, 23 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
The accuracy of File:VIT campus layout.png can be questioned, needs a reference. "BEST Bus No." table is not necessary (brochure material). If one tries to list buses for colleges like HR college or National College, Bandra, there would be at least 10 buses with walking distance less than 1 min.--Redtigerxyz Talk 05:08, 24 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
