Untitled[edit]

Not sure whether all these post WWII pre 1991 films in Slovene should be called Slovene films or Yugoslav films ... All international Movie Databases list them as Yugoslav film in Slovene ... but is this just a remnant of entries into various lists before 1991? In Slovenia and as far as I know in the rest of ex-Yugoslavia, they have always been known as Slovene films. I was thinking of changing all the entries in the text, but leaving Yugoslavia in the table. Any comments?Kaktus999 (talk) 11:09, 27 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I think we should be pragmatic and avoid unnecessary political corectness. In my view, films like Vesna, filmed in Slovenia in Slovene and with (mostly) Slovene actors, can be called simply Slovene. They were known as such, as you rightly pointed out, already in Yugoslavia. There are of course others, which may cause doubts (I think of "Nasvidenje v naslednji vojni", which was filmed in Slovenia, based on a novel in Slovene and with Slovene actors, but the director was Živojin Pavlović: in such cases, Yugoslav films is a better definition, although we may consider using both). Thanx, I agree, this was my thought too before it occurred to me I might get my head bitten off in the name of over zealous political correctness. I will change it ... Kaktus999 (talk) 13:51, 31 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
