Falcon Report[edit]

Suggest merging Falcon Report into Valley Stream South High School, since Falcon Report probably does not meet Wikipedia's notability criteria for inclusion. See WP:WEB and WP:CORP. --John Nagle 18:33, 3 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Strongly suggest a merge. Thanks. --John Nagle 18:33, 3 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

References[edit]

The only external link in this article is the school's home page. There's lots of stuff in here - including silly stuff - that sounds very suspect. —Wknight94 (talk) 20:48, 30 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Reverting reformatted information?[edit]

Would the anonymous IP editor that reverted the recent changes in format (here) please justify why these were reverted. The format changes were made in accordance with Wikipedia:Manual of Style, in particular to reduce the size of the information to make it easier to read and understand, and to reduce the size of the Table of Contents (TOC) at the top of the page, again for readability. There was absolutely no change in the information content. The only addition was a [citation needed] tag in the Athletics section, which is justified by Wikipedia:Citing sources. I will not get involved in an edit war. However, in the interest of improving the article's quality and Wikipedia as a whole, I suggest that the format changes be restored. Thanks. These changes are being restored. There has been no response to the above request for clarification of why they were reverted, even though the anonymous IP editor has recently made other changes to the article. Truthanado (talk) 23:39, 18 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The new formatting you want to use looks like crap and is difficult to read, that's why I reverted it.67.177.155.250 (talk) 23:51, 19 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Perhaps if you could describe what improvements in the table format would be acceptable to you, we could make them. Truthanado (talk) 01:03, 20 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Third opinion on format[edit]

I am responding to a request for a third opinion.

The non-table format (diff) is a fault which is obvious in the rest of the article: too many subsection headings, too much bold markup. The table format (diff) is more readable. — Athaenara 02:10, 20 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Questionability of teacher list[edit]

The guideline in Wikipedia:WikiProject Schools/Article guidelines states:

"The names of current and former teachers should only be included if they are notable in their own right (for example, they are published authors or they have won a teaching award) or they have been the subject of multiple non-trivial press coverage."

If this cannot be demonstrated for the "Educational Departments & Associated Faculty at VSSHS" section, that section may be deleted. Would you please demonstrate notability with suitable verifiable sources. Thanks. Truthanado (talk) 01:11, 20 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Absolutely, that whole section should be removed. — Athaenara 02:14, 20 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
