Littré's glands are racemose glands in the spongy portion of the urethra. They are named for French surgeon Alexis Littré, (1658-1726).

Littritis is inflammation of Littré's glands.

"Inflammation" - The condition into which tissues enter as a reaction to injury. The term is derived from the Latin words inflamma'tio; inflamma're, "to set on fire."

Male focus?[edit]

Why is this article so male-focused? Females also have urethras, so I would assume they have homologous glands. 169.233.250.170 (talk) 01:57, 28 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
