Copy-paste issues
Large parts of this article are unsourced copies from other sources.
- Much of the lead of the article, including the opening sentence, the bullet points, and other parts of the text are copies of text from the USTR's website [1]. This group of edits [2] by User:Garbanzo28 left the lead as a near exact copy of the source without attribution, which forms the basis of the current lead.
- The "History" Section of the article is also a copy-paste, from Charles Ford, “Commercial Diplomacy: the Next Wave,” Foreign Service Journal, April 2005. I found a .pdf [3] with an exact or near-exact copy of the entire section, which predates the text's inclusion in the first edit to this WP article in 2006.
- Haven't checked through the other sections yet.

Temporary article
I started a temporary version of this article, while the copyright case is pending. It's very much in a stub phase, but as it is a temporary article, I didn't want to get too carried away with supplanting the old one entirely while the case is still being reviewed.
