Keep as is thanks. They are seperate units at different times and of different functions. "Ukrainian Sich riflemen" (1914-1920)refers to a unit of the Hungarian army. "Sich riflemen" (1917-1919)refers to events when some of the the unit went to Kyiv and started a different group by absorbing local fighters and the youth organisation. I hope this helps to clear up the difference :¬) These scout units established in Europe during the first part of the 20th century were not really akin to the modern day scout units. They were paramilitary units designed for living off the land and defending the homeland during times of war or invasion. Not Hungarian, but rather Austro-Hungarian army. The Galicia was actually in the direct subordination to Vienna rather than Budapest, although distance-wise the Hungarian capital is closer. The reason why the Ukrainian Sich Riflemen were named that way was because they were part of the Austro-Hungarian army therefore the unit was identified as Ukrainian. The Sich Riflemen were formed in Chernivtsi out of the Russian POW that did serve in the previously mentioned unit. They mostly were engaged with the Russian aggression, while the initial Ukrainian Sich Riflemen were eventually reorganized into the Halych Army. Note that the Halych Army became Ukrainian Galician Army after pledging their allegiance once again to the foreign country - General Anton Denikin.
