Error in article[edit]

The picture of the LST 527 is dated May 1945 but the box listing the ships service history shows it being decommissioned on Feb 28 1945.

The Feb 28 1945 decommissioning date corresponds to a documented maintenance period the LST 527 for the month of Feb 45. In researching my Father in Law's WWII service on the LST 527 I reviewed the original muster rolls through his date of discharge on 01/08/46 and the LST 527 was still in service and based in St John's River, Lee Field, Green Cove Springs FL. I don't know when it was decommissioned although I suspect St John's River was the end of the line. 108.36.203.171 (talk) 03:03, 21 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
