Be more specific please[edit]

Video can be seen to encompass both video INPUT and video OUTPUT. All the examples shown are input only. Output devices are displays and TV signal producers. Is this class input only, or does this class encompass both input and output devices. David Garfield (talk) 21:05, 31 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

How does it work?[edit]

Could a subject matter expert please link to a description of how the computer recognizes the video device and what the computer does? Presumably it launches an application that displays the image. Is any of this protocol covered by the USB video device class standard? 3dimen (talk) 15:59, 12 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Android[edit]

What about Android support?

FreeBSD[edit]

Strictly speaking, FreeBSD does not have a native driver for UVC. Linux UVC driver can be used by means of webcamd. That's exactly what is described in the FreeBSD uvc link. I think that this page would benefit from the clarification. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 93.72.151.96 (talk) 17:42, 25 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

What is the history?[edit]

Who created it? Which companies are part of the group that controls the standard? How did they come up with it?

Also, how does this compare with other options?
