In July 2014 User:Apoorvmehta9 moved this page to UCCI (Disambiguation) without discussion, blanked the page, added some unsourced puff about the Udaipur Chamber of Commerce & Industry, then moved the page to Udaipur Chamber of Commerce and Industry leaving UCCI as a redirect to that page. A Google search for UCCI gives "UCC Industries International Inc", "United Concordia Dental", "University College of the Cayman Islands", various people named "Ucci" such as Donald Ucci, and on the third page of search results gives "Udaipur Chamber of Commerce & Industry". Clearly "Udaipur Chamber of Commerce & Industry" is not the primary topic. I have restored the page to a disambiguation page. Aymatth2, I basically agree with you. What you need to do at this point is to file a requested move to get the pages renamed properly. Your edits are not doing that; you’ve basically created duplicate dab pages. @Gorthian: At this point there is no duplication of dab pages. The redirect pages UCCI (disambiguation), Ucci (disambiguation) and UCCI (Disambiguation) are rather pointless. There has been a whole lot of moving without disussion going on. The correct solution is to reset, as I have done, and discuss here what the right approach is. @Aymatth2 and Bkonrad: The pages are changing so fast my head’s whirling. At this point, I think there are too many chefs fiddling with the soup.

I came upon this set of pages because both UCCI and UCCI (disambiguation) were set up as essentially duplicate dab pages, and I was trying to solve that. If there is a primary topic, UCCI would redirect to that, and UCCI (disambiguation) would be the dab page. If there is no primary topic, the dab page would be at the base name (UCCI), with UCCI (disambiguation) redirecting to it, per WP:INTDABLINK.

You’ve set up a requested move discussion here without calling it that. I suggest you go the formal route so there will be more input and to get some clarity. Let the soup be, and come to a decision via WP:RM. — Gorthian (talk) 23:51, 16 July 2019 (UTC)

I have undone an unrequested move. I have no idea how to request a move from UCCI to UCCI. Let's wait and see if Udaipur Chamber of Commerce and Industry survives the AfD discussion before debating whether it is the primary topic. Aymatth2 (talk) 00:07, 17 July 2019 (UTC)

Note that UCCI (disambiguation) was created on 7 July 2014‎ by User:Apoorvmehta9 with an unattributed copy-paste from UCCI Special:PermanentLink/477795138, the version last edited by User:Rick Block on 19 February 2012.
