Spread of use?[edit]

Other than at and by RSMCs and TCWCs prior to 1988, and around the Atlantic Basin by the public, are/were hurricane/typhoon/tropical cyclone tracking charts used in other basins like the northwest Pacific, Indian Ocean, or southwest Pacific? I just chatted with an on-air met in Japan, and he doesn't think they're used over there. Maybe POV is unavoidable in this article. Thegreatdr (talk) 03:33, 5 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
