Article on system that has not formed yet.[edit]

Uhhhhhh...no offense, but why is this here? If this system doesn't become Claudette, I literally see no reason to keep it.ChessEric (talk · contribs) 01:03, 19 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. Sria >:3 SR.1111111 (talk)♥️ 01:18, 19 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Although the chances of Three becoming Claudette are slowly closing due to land interaction (although the system can strengthen a bit before landfall, per NHC), the preparations and further impacts are the most important here. Just wait a little bit until the system makes landfall, impacts will be seen and that’s the time where we justify when this system needs its own article or not. 🌀HurricaneParrot🐦 02:26, 19 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

We have one for Ten in 2017 which caused considerable impacts both as a disturbance and as an extratropical system. Given the sprawling impacts from this disturbance, even if it is not named it is necessary to keep this here. --MarioProtIV (talk/contribs) 02:58, 19 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@MarioProtIV: Didn't know that either. My bad.ChessEric (talk · contribs) 14:09, 19 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

We also have one for Potential Tropical Cyclone Seventeen-E since these are numbered by the NHC. No need for a removal of this article.DachshundLover82 (talk) 04:21, 19 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@DachshundLover82: Really? I didn't know that. And it formed anyway, so never mind. LOL!ChessEric (talk · contribs) 14:08, 19 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Regardless of whether it develops in the Gulf, it may also become Claudette once it exits off the East Coast and into the Gulf Stream, as shown by some models. Also, I think it’s already very notable and justified due to the impact it’s brought in Mexico, which damage assessments are currently ongoing for. It’s also supposed to make landfall on the first federal holiday Juneteenth in the US, so that brings additional notability.DachshundLover82 (talk) 04:28, 19 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Current storm image not peak intensity[edit]

So, I found something out by using a site known as zoom.earth. The one that is currently being used doesn't seem to be at its peak intensity. As I am not a professional, I may or may not know what the hell I am talking about. What do you think?

We have established that we do not always need to put images of where the storm was at peak intensity but rather ones more representative of the storm itself. People remember Claudette for its Southeastern US impacts, not it being off the coast. See: WP:WPTC/IMG. Also, there already is an image of it at peak. Ah, I see. Welp, time to delete my useless image. -Solarrrr... Send a message to Solar? Tappy tap tap! ⏰Time: 02:54, 24 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Brown ocean effect?[edit]

Hey. Isn’t Claudette a possible example of brown ocean effect since it reintensifed into tropical storm while over land? IBlazeCat (talk) 22:19, 23 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

IBlazeCat, maybe, but you have to hunt a reliable source to support your claim Beraniladri19 🌀🌀 12:40, 24 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I did find a source to support the claim and I will add it in to the article soon.IBlazeCat (talk) 15:51, 24 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Alright, sorry for the late reply, but I’ve added the source to article supporting brown ocean effect. Ill go ahead and end this discussion IBlazeCat (talk) 11:20, 21 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Claudette image (again)[edit]

After having several articles vindicated by mindless image edit warring recently, I am going to start a discussion on this before this gets any worse. Are we going to switch to an image of Claudette off the coast solely because it is 2 mb or so deeper, a part of Claudette's lifetime which is relatively insignificant and not relevant to the storm and its impacts on the U.S, or of the image over the United States when most Americans would probably remember it for when it was delivering its impacts and near when it was named? Peak intensity isn't everything and everything was fine for months until someone suddenly decided to revert the image. Thoughts? Hurricaneboy23 (page) * (talk) 03:10, 27 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Question[edit]

Would the 3 deaths On June 11 count as indirect in the precursor? It is mentioned in the TCR. 108.170.65.170 (talk) 23:11, 2 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
