@Bookworm857158367: I don't think the painting of the Trinity is helpful here, for several reasons:

  • We already have an article about the Trinity, which is in any case a concept, not an individual person.
  • There is no canonical iconography for the Trinity, as is clear from its article, and the specific iconography used in this painting is idiosyncratic.
  • It is anachronistic, because the name Trinity was very rare before 1990 or so, and the painting is from the 18th century.
  • Many of the users of the name were inspired not by the Trinity, but by the Matrix character, but I don't think we should include a picture of her, either.

The meaning of the name comes directly from the trinity. It might make sense to add a second image of Trinity from The Matrix if a free image can be found, but I object to removing the current image. Bookworm857158367 (talk) 17:08, 20 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

1990's?[edit]

Writer states as fact that this name did not exist until the 1990's. However, there are contradictions provided just below that statement in the examples section. Anecdotally, I went to school with a man named Trinity. He was born in 1978. Just loosen the language to allow for outliers.
