Story (as of week one)[edit]

Please tell me we're not going to get a week-by-week breakdown of the story. General outline, sure, but two paragraphs covering the first week? That's about right for the first couple of months. Duggy 1138 (talk) 19:50, 8 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'm still seeing way too much material being added to the synopsis. It's a synopsis of the entire series, not the issues. Duggy 1138 (talk) 03:44, 20 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Once the story concludes, we'll be better able to compile the story into something more concise. As for now, we have to deal with what we have since we don't necessarily know what is and is not important. InsaneZeroG (talk) 06:32, 5 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Major Edits Needed[edit]

Sorry, I'm not really a Wikipedia person, but I just read the Trinity series and looked it up here to try and clear up a few things, but this article is in need of some major editing. First, the Plot section needs to be finished (right now it only goes about halfway through the second volume) and heavily cut. I don't really know what you guys would be looking for so I don't want to do it, and I don't have a Wikipedia account. But the Plot section needs to be fixed badly. Second, the thing that I'm confused about is where does this series fit into the DC universe history? Is it in relation to the Crisis series at all? or is this just a thing that they did that doesn't really follow the real story or real lives of the superheroes and the history of the multiverse. Third, I wanted to know what other people thought of the comic series, like critics and stuff, and how its been received in the comic-book-reader community. This page is badly outdated, and doesn't cover a lot of important things that a Wikipedia page ought. I would recommend scrapping the whole thing rather than leaving it as is. Critical Reaction[edit]

Just a thought, but since the series has concluded, are there any plans to add a critical reaction section to this article? It seems that it would be a relevant addition. TorgoSensation (talk) 01:21, 12 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Infobox image[edit]

Frankly, the August change shouldn't have been left this long.

Yes, it is unfortunate that DC decided to set the covers up as triptychs, but the article is about the comic book series. It is better to stick with a cover from the initial issue of the series.

If it were a story arc - that is a story that runs though only a part of a series or across multiple titles - I would agree with using the cover of the first printing of the first TPB volume. But not the second volume. Akin to what is done with books.

So you would be ok with using the TPB for Vol. 1?
Also, what about using the covers for #1-3 put together? --DrBat (talk) 04:49, 15 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Operative phrase "If it were a story arc". It isn't.
As for a collage... remember that the infobox is constrained to 250px across and 450px up. Showing the triptych would result in each cover being ~80px wide even if the file is 900px (the normal "raw" 300 *3). Stacked would be worse. That said, it may be worth looking at.
One last thing - the bold edit in question is the placing of the TPB cover, even if it was 4 months ago, not return to the issue cover. Damn frustrating I know, but I've gotten smacked for holding the the status quo on edits made 9 or more months earlier. Essentially "Justify the change made then or point to the consensus for it, otherwise it goes."
