Despite the Trikke site claim, the three-wheeled design was invented by engineers at GM (perhaps independently) and multiple patents were issued to Frank Winchell et al. starting in 1978. I remember riding a GM 3-wheeler in the summer of 1980, and it looked about the same as the Trikke vehicle. See U.S. Patent 4088338 for one of the applicable patents.

I've added a short history and the feeling of riding I'and others have experienced. Next to that a small part about Jimmy Evans and the 3CV World Sports Federation. I think it didn't change back into an advertisement. 20:15, 04 september 2006

The article itself reads almost exactly like a promotional pamphlet - I felt like I was being sold a Trikke, not the sort of article you expect when reading an encyclopedia.

I've trimmed most of the advertorial, which was most of the article. It does need a careful review from someone with relevant knowledge to turn it into a sensible entry. 195.38.86.82 14:37, 7 June 2006 (UTC)

Added back advert template — it's still pretty sales-oriented. For instance, it's not really relevant to know it's a weight-bearing exercise and that this is important to women. That's not what Wikipedia is. Anyone willing to clean this up some more? PHILLIP CALVIN 05:12, 28 February 2010 (UTC)
