Move[edit]

Imoved Treaty of Stettin to Treaty of Stettin (1570) and turned Treaty of Stettin in a dab pg linking this article as well as the 1630 and 1653 treaties, for which I created the respective articles. I think this goes undisputed. Skäpperöd (talk) 10:05, 22 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Polish participation, categorization[edit]

While expanding the article, I stumbled upon the emphasised Polish participation, understandable as this article was stubbed from pl.wiki. The Danish and Swedish interwikis are much more informative, yet lack a note about Polish participation. According to the sources I added/studied, I corrected several issues:

  • While Poland was a party in the war (as a Danish ally) they seem to have been not a party at the peace conference.
  • While a Polish delegation was among the mediators, the mediation was neither carried out solely nor predominantly by the Poles, nor on initiative of the Polish king.

For the actual composition of the delegations I only found a fairly old source listing them all (and not just some). While I don't see a reason to distrust the source, a more recent one would be appreciated. See also this request, where I wondered if the treaty can be categorized a "Polish peace treaty" as is - though I do not object to leave it in this category now Polish participation is sourced. Yet I removed the Polish peace treaties navbox, because this seemed a bit overweight for the rather marginal Polish participation (attendance of Dancay wouldn't justify a French peace treaties navbox either, I think). As I've noted there, I don't see convincing evidence to support inclusion of this treaty in the list of Polish treaties (no hits for [1] for example). --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk 13:39, 24 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
