Mechanism[edit]

Is the mechanism by which salicyclic acid removes warts well understood? Does the acid destroy the virus, the host (skin cells) or both? Does the acid change the growth rate of skin - is this an important factor? Pgr94 14:23, 26 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Collodion: what does it do?[edit]

Some treatments include Collodion which dries to a celluloid film. Does this only protect other body parts and other people from infection or does it work like Duct tape occlusion therapy? Pgr94 14:12, 26 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

RE: 'precipitation'[edit]

In the caption for the picture it uses the word precipitation when to my ears precipitate would be most natural. For that use, the most natural noun seems precipitate. The noun precipitation seems to refer to the process not the resultant substance in chemistry at least (and from what I'm recalling.) Anyone think it should be changed to precipitate?--Δζ (talk) 19:18, 21 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
