Talk:Transnational care

Hello. As an immigrant in a western country I have personally encountered several situations where I have had to provide care for my family members back home. Several individuals from my community report similar circumstances. This type of care, providing remotely with a 'virtual copresence' is of significant interest to several individuals and hence I think would be worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia. Scientific literature has recognized this term as transnational care and significant body of research is found in this regard. The term 'transnational care' is not commonly identified in layman language, but encompasses several forms of care. I do believe that the term and knowledge of this form of care by families and friends would be useful for users of Wikipedia. Vibhudhawan (talk) 05:41, 21 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

This is a great topic[edit]

Transnational Caregiving is a concept that is important to the population that is living abroad, while their parents are in a different country. I am currently in the US and my mother is in India. It is extremely important that the topic remains relevant. Gadevijay (talk) 01:43, 22 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
