Is the nine and a half minute pornographic film strictly necessary?[edit]

A simple image or a much shorter video would convey the concept more clearly and concisely. It's over a minute before any trampling even happens.

I'll leave it up, but if someone could find something more suitable it would improve this article greatly.

Separate article or not?[edit]

This existed as a separate article from 2003 until 2020. A retargeting to Crush fetish was attempted in 2006 but quickly reverted, with a brief discussion in #New section above. The page was again turned into a redirect in 2020 [1], with the inclusion of a brief mention of the topic at the Crush fetish article [2], as well as – for the first time in almost two decades – the addition of a source. However, that source, while discussing both cursh and trample fetishes, makes it clear that the two are distinct. That doesn't mean the two can't be treated within the same article, but that will require further work (rewriting the lede section and renaming to something like Crush and trampling fetishes). Conceivably, trampling could also be subsumed under Foot fetish, but for that we'd need sources explicitly making that connection.

In light of the above, I believe the most sensible thing to do is to restore the short stub, move it to a disambiguated title (Trampling is a thing in a completely different subject area), and then solicit feedback on what to do next from WP:WikiProject Sexology and sexuality (and possibly also WP:WikiProject Pornography and from the editor who performed the 2020 redirecting). If the overall sentiment is that the topic is indeed not notable, then that can't be done with any more bold actions (because of the history of objections against it), but will have to go through WP:AfD. What appears to have been a similar article got deleted in 2008 after Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Trample, but the consensus there was against the particular form of that article, with most people who commented on notability agreeing that the topic may in principle pass. Also noting that better developed articles on the topic exist on some other wikis (notably it:Trampling). – Uanfala (talk) 13:30, 5 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
