Corrections and completion[edit]

I have corrected a few innaccuracies on this page, and tried to introduce some more information. As I feel that the page has attained a critical size, I have removed it from the stub category. What is still needed:

A picture of an original-spec, clean FJ40 would be nice,
A picture of a modified version would be realistic, as there are probably more modded ones than original-spec ones on the roads today,
Some more detailed information on the various models in the range.

The main innaccuracy that I removed was that the FJ40 was not the response to an army tender: that honour belongs to the original BJ. just as a note on the engines, the change from F to 2F was supposed to be made in 1973, with some 73s having the F and some the 2F. this is according to some research i did on the web when i bought my 72 FJ40, unfortunately, i cant remember where i saw it. However it appears that a few of the 72s also recieved the larger 2F engine, as my Fj has the 2F, and the tag inside the hood says that the car was manufactured with that engine --tippyc2 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 130.86.212.178 (talk) 08:40, 14 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Terms like 'currently' and the reference to the future depend on time. Whendo they refer to - when written, when read or ...?

recent renaming[edit]

The article was recently renamed to 'Toyota Land Cruiser 40 Series'. To be consistent with the naming convention used on other car generations, should this have been 'Toyota Land Cruiser (J40)' ? See Camry and Corolla articles for examples. Stepho (talk) 23:29, 8 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
