Intro[edit]

"...from Carnarvon in South Africa, where he attended Rondebosch Boys' High School" is not required in the intro (especially the repetition of "South Africa", as it is not notable and gives WP:UNDUE weight to the info. GiantSnowman 20:59, 20 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Having just read the content of WP:UNDUE, it is clear to me that it doesn't apply, since UNDUE refers to different viewpoints and the weight placed on them. FunkyCanute (talk) 21:03, 20 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
No, it can refer to anything. Also note that "undue weight can be given in several ways, including but not limited to depth of detail [and] prominence of placement." GiantSnowman 07:12, 21 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
No, it doesn't apply to everything and anything: it isn't clever to quote out of context. The opening very clearly states: "Neutrality requires that each article or other page in the mainspace fairly represent all significant viewpoints that have been published by reliable sources, in proportion to the prominence of each viewpoint in the published, reliable sources." In other words, it is about viewpoints. Still, I have not more time for you and your negative editing. I'd appreciate it if you kept away from articles I work hard on, unless you plan to do some research and add to them. Then we'd get on better. Thanks. Seeing as you seem ignorant of basic policies & guidelines, I'll also point you in the direction of WP:OWNERSHIP. GiantSnowman 17:12, 21 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I'm well aware of this, but I'm asking you - and only you - to stay away, please. And have a look at WP:CIV. Many thanks. FunkyCanute (talk) 18:14, 21 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
